An exhibit of French photography at the Delaware Art Museum prompted me to post a slide show of my own work from a visit to Paris, France in 2007.
Almost all my photos are Shoot-First-And-Ask-Questions-Later images of life on the street and, occasionally, in the subway. Most were taken with me looking through the viewfinder, but many were shot slyly from the hip, hoping not to disturb the scene before me.
Occasionally, knowing I was following in the footsteps of Henri Cartier-Bresson, I found a scene and waited for someone to walk into it. That’s what I did above, waiting for someone to walk by and mimic the statue.
