Here’s a theme I keep coming back to, that what we have is enough, a blessing, even if all we have are shadows, yet God promises us more.
I’ve heard this is a teaching of the Catholic church and a reason for every pregnancy to be brought to birth, that it is not our place to keep the blessings of existence from anyone, or the promise of more.
By more, I am referring to the promise of resurrection, which Christians like me celebrate every Easter, if not every day.
See my Photo Prayer 2014-15 to see the words I wrote to go with this photo.
Does anyone else see the influence of cubism in this photo taken inside the main gallery at the Delaware Art Museum? I’m thinking of the paintings of Lyonel Feininger, an artist also known for his photography.
I will add comments here in the next week. To make comments of your own, please contact me.
