Your Daily Photograph is the only daily email I subscribe to. It usually features three photographs for sale — a vintage photograph at the top, a curated contemporary image in the middle, and a themed image at the bottom. My photograph goes with the theme “Black, Blue, and White”.
The image began as a single word in American Typewriter font, printed on a laser writer, and then traced onto paper with a pencil. That paper was then crumpled and torn in two, something I can relate to. My guess is that you can, too! Then, with needle and thread, I stitched the two halves together, something I hope you can relate to as well. Then I photographed the stitched product. The final image was adjusted for color and contrast, vignetting the corners to call attention to the word in the middle.
I used this image in Photo Prayer 2017-08.
